IBML Announces Acquisition of New Facility
June 22, 2004 - Birmingham, Ala. - Imaging Business Machines, LLC (IBML) announced today the acquisition of a new facility, which will allow for the consolidation of the company into one location by the 4th quarter of 2006.
The 36,000 square foot building sits on five plus acres on Crestwood Boulevard in Irondale, Alabama. Purchase of the site will allow the company to consolidate its manufacturing facilities, and construct a new corporate headquarters adjacent to the current structure.
In announcing the acquisition, Gary Murphy, Founder and CEO of IBML, said, "Over the last few years, IBML has grown from 25 employees to more than 150 and we have leased space in various locations to support our rapid growth. It will be ideal to have all departments under one roof at one location. AmSouth Bank, who has continuously supported our growing financial needs, deserves a big thanks for providing the bond issue to make this purchase happen."
The Crestwood Boulevard facility will undergo extensive renovations to allow manufacturing to relocate by the end of this year. Construction of the corporate headquarters will commence during the 2nd quarter of 2005 and is scheduled for completion by December 2006.
