NCR Expands Image-Scanning Capabilities with
Imaging Business Machines to Reach Growing Multiform Market

Partnership with IBML opens additional capabilities to international markets.

DAYTON, Ohio — NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) today announced a partnership with Imaging Business Machines, LLC (IBML), an industry leader in high-speed color document image scanning. The agreement grants NCR a preferred reseller status to market and sell the IBML ImageTrac® III and IV high-speed scanners and related software under the NCR iTRAN™ brand in select countries in Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East and African regions. These transport scanners are capable of managing up to 400 pages per minute and utilize IBML’s SoftTrac®, ExportTrac™ and DocNetics™ software. The agreement covers hardware, software and services.

For financial institutions and other businesses, such as government offices, retailers and insurance providers, the benefit of multiform scanning lies in removing the costs and constraints associated with location, space and time. Documents of various size, weight and composition can be captured and sorted in one pass at a high speed. This not only saves time, labor and processing costs, but the scan captures both a digital image and identifying parameters that provide meaningful data to be used for other business applications, which accelerates overall processing and improves customer service. As paper continues to become costlier and less efficient to handle and store, digital capture has experienced steady growth.
