IBML Promotes Duane Smith to Vice President of Manufacturing

September 6, 2006 – Birmingham, Ala. – Duane Smith has been promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing for Imaging Business Machines, LLC (IBML) the manufacturer of the award winning ImageTrac® Scanning Platform. Over the last 14 years, Smith has managed the materials and production control departments will now oversee the entire manufacturing operation.

“Duane joined Imaging Business Machines as the Director of Production and Material Control and has done an excellent job of managing our purchasing, materials and manufacturing departments”, said Derrick Murphy, President of Imaging Business Machines. “Over the next few years, as the leader in intelligent document scanning technology, IBML is expecting to have accelerated growth and he has been tasked with preparing manufacturing and associated departments for this anticipated increase”.

Duane Smith is a native of Frederick, Maryland. He is certified by APICS and NAPM as Purchasing and Inventory Manager and regularly contributes time to the National Association of Purchasing Management.
